Erewash Valley
In this project, I took on a stronger leadership role to give our junior artist more ownership over the route by assigning them additional modeling tasks, while I focused on environmental placement and development. My primary goal for this release was to overhaul the foliage by creating new procedural shrubbery and grass, producing more realistic organic models and significantly improving the overall flora compared to previous releases.
I thoroughly vetted and critiqued each asset the junior artist designed, ensuring both quality and resource efficiency. Throughout this process, they gained valuable skills and grew into a much more confident artist under my mentorship. To support their development, I carefully adjusted their time allocations based on their current skill level, ensuring they weren't overwhelmed. Through effective planning and teamwork, we successfully met our release window, earning stellar feedback from the community.
