Metropolitan Line

My first major project at Just Trains, I took on the role of the sole in-house asset developer. I was responsible for creating a wide range of assets, including flora, clutter, advertisements, stations, residential and commercial buildings. Additionally, I developed several key train infrastructure components, such as railway signals and gantries.

For this project, I handled all texture work using Photoshop, creating tileable textures in DDS format for automatic mipmap generation. It was during this time that I learned how to create efficient LODs and applied best practices for developing extremely low-poly assets for performance-constrained game engines, such as the KUJU engine used by Train Simulator Classic.
